Year in Review 2024

The last 12 months were filled with high notes. At Bowers & Wilkins, 2024 saw us launch new innovative products, host exciting industry events, work on iconic collaborations, introduce a brand ambassador and more.

To celebrate all the milestones that made the last year so special, we’ve created a highlight reel for your viewing pleasure – enjoy!

Year in Review 2024

True Sound for every occasion

We launched our Pi8 and Pi6 True Wireless earbuds, introducing new, advanced technology to our in-ear headphone range. Both models were met with acclaim from some of the most prominent voices in the audio world, recognised for audio excellence and design innovation.

As well as setting a new category benchmark for on-the-go listening with our latest earbuds, we delivered on our core loudspeaker values with a new Signature collection. The 700 Series Signature range features the floorstanding 702 S3 Signature, the bookshelf 705 S3 Signature and the centre channel HTM71 S3 Signature. All three are engineered with optimised technologies and exclusive, lustrous finishes to deliver pinnacle performance.

When it comes to wireless speakers, we upgraded our iconic classic Zeppelin, unveiling the Zeppelin Pro Edition. This new and improved version of our best-in-class wireless speaker incorporates Titanium Dome drivers, directly inspired by those in our award-winning 600 Series loudspeakers – and featured in an exciting new collaboration with none other than David Beckham.

Strengthening prosperous partnerships

While Zeppelin Pro Edition made an appearance in our Home Life campaign with David Beckham, this formed just one aspect of our brand partnership with the global icon. Bowers & Wilkins and David Beckham share a commitment to excellence and elegance – and with these synchronised philosophies, our ambassadorship flourished. Alongside David, we refreshed our Px8 headphones with an all-new Dark Forest colourway, launched our flagship Pi8 True Wireless earbuds, and shared some key insights into David’s home listening rituals with Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers and Custom Installation products.

Continuing our pursuit of bringing thrilling True Sound to the driving experience, we joined forces with Aston Martin to integrate Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound Systems into the automotive marque’s Vanquish and DBX707. We didn’t stop there. We elevated the sound in the McLaren Artura Spider, the BMW 5 Series and the BMW i5, integrating precision speakers by Bowers & Wilkins into the architecture of the vehicles. Additionally, while we worked with Volvo Cars to create precision sound systems for the EX90 and XC90, we also collaborated with Abbey Road to develop a new in-car audio experience, Abbey Road Studios Mode, which featured first, exclusively in the Volvo EX90.

The launch of Abbey Road Studios Mode was celebrated at an exclusive event at the revered London studios, featuring insightful panel discussions hosted by Jamz Supernova and an intimate performance from the Mercury Prize Award-winning Ezra Collective in Studio Two, where their excellent album, Dance, No One’s Watching, was recorded.

Unforgettable musical moments

While we sponsored the famed Mercury Prize Award again this year – and made an appearance at SXSW with Bowers & Wilkins Sound System – we also teamed up with Record Store Day and Classic Album Sundays for our annual Behind The Counter series. This year’s series saw us shine a light on some of the most loved record stores across the UK, meet their owners and discuss why running an independent record label is such a rewarding task.

The last year has been incredibly special to us at Bowers & Wilkins, and we’re delighted you’ve been a part of the journey. Stay tuned; we’ve got lots in store for 2025 and beyond.
